Most jewelry cleaning services can be completed within the same day. For particularly intricate or fragile pieces, the process may take longer, depending on the cleaning method required.
We’ll discuss timeframes with you in advance and work to accommodate any special time constraints you may have.
Is ultrasonic cleaning safe for every piece?
The ultrasonic is safe for most pieces, but not every piece.
There are certain gemstones that can be damaged, like pearls, opals, turquoise, coral, and emeralds. Ultrasonics can also loosen stones in worn settings and dissolve adhesives used in some pieces, like marcasite.
Do you clean jewelry that wasn't bought from Takohl?
Absolutely! Most of the pieces that we service come from other shops entirely.

My diamond looks dull. Will cleaning fix it?

Whenever we clean a piece, the first thing we do is inspect it. Worn prongs, a loose stone, or a thinning shank are all problems we can address before they turn into something bigger, like a lost diamond.
